Real Property Information Requirements (RPIR) Implementation executed by R&K for the Navy/USMC earns Under Secretary of Defense Grone praise.
Mr. Grone (OSD-ATL) has singled out the Navy/USMC as the OSD leader in RPIR implementation. Mr. Grone congratulated the Navy’s overarching implementation plan that resulted in 52 percent of the data elements completed, leading the Military Departments.
This implementation was performed by R&K from concept to completion. We conceived the concept of implementation using Business Rules and algorithms and presented this to the USMC/Navy as an unsolicited proposal and sold the idea. Once awarded we worked “hand & glove” with the NAVFAC staff as we developed the rules and algorithms to make this happen. R&K developed the Functional Description including all the algorithms and business rules and finally executed the plan in outstanding fashion. We developed files for inclusion into the Navy’s iNFADS real property database with the new data and then provided NAVFAC with instructions on how to reprogram iNFADS to have it derive and populate the data for future submissions to FAD.
This is an important milestone for R&K as it clearly demonstrates our complete mastery of OSD real property as well as the Federal Real Property Council’s (FRPC) inventory reporting requirements.
