: :  News - DLA-RPRT Considered Dept. of Defense "Best Practice"
Thursday, August 24, 2006

The Department of Defense Comptroller identified Defense Logistics Agency Real Property Inventory Reconciliation Tool (DLA-RPRT) as a "Best Practice" for Real Property Audits.

DLA-RPRT was created by R&K for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to assist in comparing Real Property data from the Army, Army National Guard, Air Force, Marines, and Navy against the DLA Real Property Inventory within their Facility Management System (FMS) to ensure that all of the data sources match. The objectives of DLA-RPRT are to improve management accountability for real property and to provide reporting consistency between the Military Services and DLA to the Department of Defense. DLA-RPRT also verifies FMS data is correctly recorded within the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) to ensure financial reporting is accurate.
