R&K Engineering has been awarded a five year contract (base year and four option years) to provide critical real property support to Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). This work entails establishing and maintaining a Real Property inventory (RPI) in compliance with DoDI 4165-14, Inventory and Forecasting of Military Real Property, and the DoD Real Property Inventory Requirements (RPIR). For inventory management WHS will use the Army’s Integrated Facilities System (IFS) as their inventory tool. Additional contract tasks include: reporting RPI to DoD ad GSA in compliance with the Federal Real Property Council (FRPC) guidelines based on the President’s Executive Order 13327; development of an Executive Information System (EIS) tool for senior management; support to DoD’s POM process for real property; working with the Pentagon Renovation Office (PENREN) to develop DD 1354s for handoff of new construction projects; development of Pentagon specific facility budget investment strategies; support to WHS’s CFOA reporting; and development of policy, procedures, and management controls to ensure proper execution of real property requirements. Award of the contract recognizes R&K’s unparalleled skills in the management and execution of critical real property management requirements, not only for WHS and DoD, but for the Federal Government as well.
