: :  News - R&K Celebrates its 25th Anniversary
Saturday, July 11, 2009

Today marks an important anniversary in the life of R&K Engineering, Inc.  On 11 July the company celebrates the 25th anniversary of its founding.  From a vision in the eyes of our two founders, Jim Kirmse and Bill Richardson, R&K has grown to a company of over 85 employees working in three offices in Virginia and Texas.  In 2005 the company reached a significant milestone when we became a 100% Employee Owned Company.  In the 25 years of our existence we have provided support to clients around the world.  R&K has consistently worked to provide quality support to our clients, primarily in the area of managing real property inventories – to include helping clients validate their assets or document what they need.  We have helped clients determine what they need to program and budget to maintain what they have or articulate what it will cost to acquire what they need.  We have developed numerous software applications to meet the particular needs of our various clients.  We have helped clients develop and articulate policies for the efficient and effective use of the facilities they have.  Early on, we understood the importance of having both real property functional and information technology expertise on staff to adequately meet our clients’ needs.  Our staff reflects the importance of both core competencies.  Today we are recognized as one of the premiere companies providing real property management support to the Department of Defense.  We would not have gotten to where we are without the dedication of each of the employees of the company.  Every one of them has contributed to help make R&K what it is today.  We also wish to thank our clients, many of whom have contracted for our services for many years.  Without their continued support, we would not be the company we are today.

Happy Anniversary R&K – Thank You R&K employees – and – Thank You clients.

We look forward to the next 25 years.
